Loretta Deczynski

Loretta loved to draw from an early age. Ironically, she did not pursue art seriously until she was challenged by carpal tunnel. Having already had a semester of drawing at a local college when she was younger, Loretta began using art as therapy for her hands. She used books and video tapes to learn how to paint. She enhanced her skills by attending local classes, workshops, and art demos. Her beautiful paintings take a long time to complete because she cannot paint for hours like most artists. However, each piece is a labor of love and she thoroughly enjoys the process.

The flowers of California are most often the centerpiece of her paintings, but she also enjoys figures and animals. Several of her paintings have won awards in juried art shows.

Loretta lives in El Cajon, CA with her husband.
